Apparently the government, or at least TRUMP, is cutting back on meteorologists at the National Weather Service and NOAA. Because who needs accurate weather forecasts, right? I mean, who cares if you get caught in a tornado or hurricane because the weather app was wrong? And forget about those pesky flood warnings – who needs ’em?
But hey, don’t worry, you can always buy a Farmers’ Almanac for your weather predictions. Because who needs trained professionals when you can just rely on a book that’s been around since the 1700s, that’s really scientific.
And let’s not forget about the brilliant idea to fire all the probationary employees responsible for running the US weather model systems. Because clearly, we don’t need people who are motivated and knowledgeable to keep our weather forecasts accurate.
