Nearly half of Americans reported difficulties in affording essential expenses such as groceries, utility bills, healthcare, housing, and transportation. The consequences of these affordability pressures are far-reaching, with 27% of respondents admitting to having skipped a medical check-up due to costs within the last two years. Furthermore, 23% stated that they had skipped a prescription dose for the same reason.
These statistics reveal a shocking truth about the economic nightmare many Americans endure. The fact that so many can’t even afford basic necessities screams that current economic policies are failing a vast majority of the population.
